My First Float Experience

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of floating but I have to admit, I didn't like it at first. My husband introduced me to it and I was really surprised that he liked it. He's a 'go' person, constantly moving, restless legs, always on his computer or phone (we both have unhealthy addictions to our phones, we're working on it). So when he told me that he was going to give floating a go, and explained to me what float tanks were and some of the benefits, I thought he'd come back saying he didn't enjoy it BUT he absolutely loved it and is now an avid floater! I'm all for alternative and natural therapies so I wanted...

How To Survive A Cold - The Low Tox Way

This time last month I was in the UK, it was beautiful and warm, clear blue skies and super sunny, now I'm back in Melbourne and it's not any of those things, it's freezing! The plane was awful as well, I think half the passengers had the plague they were coughing so much, so not surprisingly I got a terrible cold after I got home, it's the worst one I've had in years but I'm happy to say that I'm feeling much better now!  So having just gotten over a terrible cold I thought I'd share my low tox cold survival guide. 1. Happy self care Sunday Foxes! I hope you're all taking some time for yourselves today, I just went for a bush walk and have some organic beef marinading which I'll slow cook all afternoon for dinner, I absolutely love cooking so it's nice to have some extra time to cook rather than those quick after work meals.  This week I caught up with the beautiful Lisa Soon and asked her all about her amazing handmade skincare range HOW DID YOUR HEALTH AND WELLNESS JOURNEY BEGIN? The journey begun for me from when I started out as a professional make up artist I guess. I've always had the love for all things beauty from a little girl. My mum, aunties and...

Meet the Maker - That Red House

I'm a huge fan of That Red House and soapberries, how amazing that these berries grown on trees can replace soap and then be composted after they are all soaped out, SO cool! I was already a fan but after catching up with Talia I've developed perhaps a bit of a girl crush too.  HOW DID YOUR HEALTH AND WELLNESS JOURNEY BEGIN?My personal journey began in 2006 when my husband was diagnosed with cancer(for the second time). I was 35 weeks pregnant with our first baby, and it was trulythe biggest challenge we have faced both individually and as a couple. We decidedthen and there to change everything from the food we ate, to the general chemicalswe were exposing ourselves...

Meet the Maker - One Seed

This week I'm introducing the beautiful Liz from One Seed Perfumes. After hearing her answers I feel really special that she said yes to me stocking her perfumes! I'm really looking forward to the new fragrance, it sounds amazing.   HOW DID YOUR HEALTH AND WELLNESS JOURNEY BEGIN? It started when I was around 13 years old. I had 2 brothers who were really into bodybuilding, and used to like reading their muscle magazines, and I started learning about nutrition that way. I used to enjoy listening to my brothers talk about protein, carb-loading, MCT oil! I learned a lot back then, but it was all pretty extreme and I would also say that it was what lead me to...
